Baby Alexander.

Precious Baby Alexander was such a tiny, sweet little guy! He stayed awake for the entire shoot--a model in the making! Welcome to the world, little buddy!

Brody.

I had so much fun doing this shoot for Brody. This little guy was a delight, full of coy grins and infectious smiles. His Mom was a genius and brought along a pinwheel to keep him entertained--it worked like a charm! This family was too sweet and I had so much fun capturing this handsome little man.

Owen.

I can't believe it was only six months ago that I took Owen's newborn pictures. He's changed so much! He is the most relaxed, easy-going baby. His family is precious and it was a delight to take their pictures. Enjoy those big baby blues!

The Koenig Family.

When the forecast called for rain this morning, I was more than excited. There's nothing sweeter than grabbing an umbrella and trouncing through a little rainstorm to produce adorable and classic pictures.

However.

As the morning progressed, the 'little rainstorm' turned into a TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR. My brave friends still came out for our scheduled shoot and we found an old building with a loading dock to use as our set. The tin roof over the dock was leaky, but we managed to obtain a 4x4 foot square of dry ground to make the shoot happen. This is why I love doing candid natural light photography. From the tin walls to the raindrops on Gary's shirt, this shoot absolutely exemplified the day. I don't want to create moments, I want to capture them. I think we succeeded in that today, with some shivers and thunderclouds to boot.

Harrison: Six Months.

Only six months ago, I shot baby Harrison's newborn pictures. He's grown and changed so much since then! I was thrilled that this would be my first shoot since coming back from maternity leave. His disposition is precious and he is one handsome little guy. Obviously, it's in his genes!

Snack.

My daughter, we think, has an aversion to dairy products. Or, rather, I am the one who has to avoid them for her sake, since she is nursing. Pictured above is what has become my favorite snack. Celery and natural peanut butter.

Don't worry. I have a session on Sunday.

Which means next week you will have something more appealing to see than food. :)

Emily.

Yesterday I had the privilege of doing senior pics for the lovely Emily. We had so much fun exploring a small town together, finding hidden alleyways that made for perfect backdrops. She was a very willing client and we had a blast!

Baby Owen.

One of the most rewarding aspects of doing photography is the joy of following my "clients" (friends, really) through huge life changes, from start to finish. It seems like just a few weeks ago (wait, it was!) I took pictures of Owen's Mama and Daddy for maternity pictures and now Owen is here with us. It was so fun to see the little guy and to do this shoot!

(I do this pose frequently, but I cannot get over how huge the Dad's hands are in comparison to that sweet little baby head. Every client, every time.)

The Whitley Family.

Today I had the privilege of doing a shoot for the wonderful Whitley family! Can I just say how much I love boys? These guys were hilarious and I had so much fun capturing their personalities with the camera. This family is so sweet!

Baby Emery.

I had the opportunity to do another newborn shoot, but this time with a precious baby girl! We've been waiting for little Emery and I was so thrilled to get to take her newborn pictures! She is the daughter of a dear friend and this shoot was very, very special. Welcome to the world, little Emery!

Baby Harrison.

I love doing newborn shoots. This is absolutely the most precious time in the lives of new parents and capturing it is so fun for me! This is baby Harrison, one of the cutest newborns I've ever seen. And I'm not just saying that! Look at that baby yumminess!
