This past weekend I had a great time doing a shoot for Erica and her fiance, Jay! This couple is sweet and are absolutely adorable together, which made for a fun and easy shoot. They even brought along their boxer mix, Legacy, who very willingly complied for some shots. Best wishes to this amazing couple!!

Brother.

I love my brother and I love his family, so I was more than happy to take their family pictures this past weekend at my parents' house! The kiddos did great and were adorable as usual. Here are a few of the pictures. This is one beautiful family!

Sisters.

My very first photography shoot was with this sweet girl, Ashley. She had just turned two and I was so honored that her parents asked me to take her pictures! Now she's grown into such a big girl (three!) and I was honored to take pictures of her and her sister, Abigail. They were so well behaved and we had a blast. They are beautiful girls!

Baby Ella.

Today I had the privilege of photographing sweet Baby Ella. I did her Mama's maternity pictures a few months ago and was so pleased when she asked me to take some of her new little girl. Ella is an absolute doll, with the sweetest personality and the greatest expressions. She is a beautiful baby girl, born into a beautiful family!

The First Wedding.

This weekend I had the opportunity to shoot my first wedding ever. I'll be honest--I was pretty intimidated! The responsibility of capturing the emotion on a very obviously poignant day in the lives of these friends was enormous. However, their natural joy and easy-going personalities made my job a pretty easy one. I'm not a huge fan of posed pictures, so I spent my time sneaking around and grabbing shots of everyone in the moment. It was a blast. Thanks to the very talented and fantastic Jessica, who I referred to as the "primary" photographer (I was her "secondary"), we shot the wedding from beginning to end and had a great time doing it. 

From the couple to the flower girl and ring-bearer (adorable twins) to the location (my parents' house!) to the families, this day was definitely a day I will never forget. I ended the day with achy feet and a bug bite or two, but most importantly, a camera stuffed with the remnants of an amazing day!

Randy, Gina, and Chance.

The thing I love the most about photography is capturing the true essence of those I photograph. When real personalities surface, the photo shoot is fun, relaxed, and best of all, genuine. Today was quite perfect in that way.

I had the privilege of taking engagement pictures for a sweet couple, Randy and Gina. They even brought along their adorable lab/pit bull mix, Chance. He was sweet and was such a good sport through the whole thing! It's easy to see that Randy and Gina are a fun-loving, gracious couple. Their energy was infectious and they had fantastic ideas. It's so wonderful when couples are just easy around each other, and these two were exactly that. I had so much fun!

Audrey.

Our dear friends' little girl, Audrey, turned one a few weeks ago. Today we ventured to the park to capture her in action. It was so fun! She's adorable and her personality definitely came out! She's a sweetheart and I love her!

Gabriel.

A few months ago I had the privilege of photographing Josh and Aimee as they eagerly awaited their second little man, Gabe (their picture is displayed under my "Maternity" label). He came into the world three weeks ago amidst complications and some scary situations. But, God is good and Mama and Baby are healthy and doing great! He is a handsome little guy!
